Measuring What Matters Most

This paper looks at one of the most promising features of the Baldrige framework for K‐12 education an expanded idea of performance measurement focused on three questions: why should you measure, what should you measure, and how should you measure it?

One of the key characteristics of the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence is that they focus on results that represent an organization’s performance and improvement in all key areas:
  • Student Learning Outcomes 
  • Customer‐Focused Outcomes
  • Budgetary, Financial, and Market Outcomes
  • Workforce‐Focused Outcomes
  • Process Effectiveness Outcomes
  • Leadership Outcomes

Des ONG contre la corruption

Trafic d'influence, extorsion de fonds, détournements... Ces pratiques feraient perdre 20 à 40 milliards de dollars par an aux pays du Sud. Elles affaiblissent également les pays riches. La mobilisation d'Etats, d'institutions internationales et de nombreuses associations démontre qu'elles ne sont pas une fatalité.

Islamabad, Sep 10: After months of foot-dragging, the federal cabinet approved on Wednesday the national education policy which sets ambitious goals of raising the annual budgetary allocations for the sector to seven per cent of the GDP and increasing literacy to 85 per cent by 2015.

EI launches Declaration on Schools as Safe Sanctuaries

Acid attacks on Afghan girls, drive-by shootings of Colombian teachers, assassination of Iraqi academics and students, arson of schools in Thailand: These are only a few examples of the increasing violent political and military attacks on education. Urging the world to protect and defend education, EI has issued a formal Declaration that Schools Shall Be Safe Sanctuaries.
